Red Plume Woman (Heidi R. Coltman) is a Denesüline and two-spirit artist and performer from Northern Saskatchewan. This versatile artist specializes in both contemporary and traditional art forms, with a passion for restoration and reclamation.
Red Plume holds a Bachelor’s degree, and is in the process of pursuing her PhD. This artist focuses her practice around preventative models, encouraging youth to pursue the arts through her teaching.

This resilient woman has the heart of a lion, and although recent, she uses her experience with abuse and assault to protect and uplift Indigenous women. Her work is educated, trauma-informed, and change-driven for women like her.
A society which does not protect, respect, and honour its women can have no claim of being civilized.
